Author
Michele Gierck is an author, a freelance writer, a community educator and an inspiring speaker.
She just loves stories: listening to them, writing them, telling them, and mentoring others to write their own precious tales.

Her latest book, Fraying: Mum, memory loss, the medical and me, is just released. It's a powerful, insightful story about a daughter accompanying her mother through memory loss and the medical maze. Authentic, upbeat, and not without humour. This book will resonate with many readers.

Michele Gierck will be the guest on Richard Fidler's Conversation program (broadcast on ABC local stations across Australia) on 25 February, 2015. The interview will be podcast, and can be listened to online any time after the interview.

Michele is also the author of 700 Days in El Salvador (which can be purchased from her website (www.michelegierck.copm.au) and co-author of Peter Kennedy: the man who threatened Rome.

Michele’s stories have featured in newspapers and magazines around Australia. For over a decade she has been a non-fiction freelance writer, focusing on personal human stories. Artists, musicians, aid works, refugees, business entrepreneurs, people with HIV/AIDs, tank commanders, politicians, religious leaders, and even the occasional rock star, have all sat down to tell her their stories.

Michele is currently working on a children's book, and a new adult non-fiction book. (All too secret to share right now.)

Michele is a powerful writer and a passionate speaker. She offers workshops, keynotes addresses and inspirational speeches.
